Visit to the caves of San José in Vall d'Uixó, Valencia
Description
In the village of Vall d'Uixó you will find the longest navigable underground river in Europe. It is 3,000 metres long and with this experience we will have the privilege of visiting a 1Km stretch. (850 metres by boat and 250 metres on foot). With pick-up service from the accommodation, we will start the experience heading north towards Vall d'Uixó, to the town of Castellón de la Plana, where the famous Caves of San José are located. After approximately 45 minutes drive, we will arrive at our destination. To visit the caves, we will board a boat and cross the longest navigable underground river in Europe accompanied by a boatman-guide. During the approximately one hour walk we will see wide galleries, stalactite-covered ceilings and spaces known as 'the cathedral' or the 'bat room'. The last part of the walk is on foot.
