The horchata tour of Valencia by bicycle
Description
“Horchata” is one of the most typical drinks in the Valencia area and with this bike route we will discover all the secrets of its production and do some tasting. Starting from the bike shop, we will travel north to the Huerta de Valencia (the farmland around Valencia). At this point, we will ride through the traditional Valencian houses (“barracas”) through the lush fields of tigernuts, the fruit used to make “horchata” (tigernut milk). We will visit a typical Valencian village before stopping at a traditional “horchatería”, where we will have the pleasure of tasting fresh “horchata” and "fartons", a traditional sweet of the region.
What we are going to do?
We will go on a guided bike tour through the tigernut growing lands of Valencia, passing by the traditional Valencian "barracas" and a traditional village. We will finish the experience in an artisan “horchatería” where we will have a small tasting of “horchata” and "fartons" before returning to our starting point.
