Cycling route to El Salto de la Novia, in Valencia
Description
Self-guided bike route to one of the most beautiful natural sites in the interior of the Valencian Community, El Salto de la Novia, a 60-metre waterfall. Legend has it that, as a proof of love and an omen of good marriage and fertility, the bride had to jump to the opposite bank in front of the gaze of those present. If successful, it promised great happiness to the couple. If unsuccessful, the marriage would break up because it was considered unfulfilled or unlucky.
What we are going to do?
First we will do a briefing of the route with a detailed explanation of the experience and we will deliver the necessary equipment for the route. And you will be ready to start your adventure! The route starts on the Via Verde Ojos Negros (the longest in Spain) to Navajas, a charming village. There you can enjoy the incredible natural landscape of the Salto de la Novia (a 60m waterfall). Then we will go to the Plaza de Navajas to contemplate the spectacular Navajas Elm tree, planted in 1636 as a symbol of union between the existing inhabitants and the new arrivals. After visiting Navajas, you can take the greenway back to Torres Torres the way you came. On the way you will once again enjoy a landscape of almond, olive and orange orchards.
