Art and architecture tour of Valencia
Description
Do you want to get an inside look at Valencia's most famous sights? This full tour will show you inside the Lonja de la Seda, the church of San Nicolás or the cathedral. Throughout this guided tour, which will last approximately 3 hours, we will get to know the most important monuments and places of the city. From the meeting point, at the Torres de Serranos, we will start the tour through the streets of the centre of Valencia. We will go on foot to visit the interior of the church of San Nicolás. As we enter, we can't help but look up, as it has 2,000 square metres of beautiful baroque frescoes, painted by Dionís Vidal. We will continue our tour towards the Lonja de la Seda (Silk Exchange), a UNESCO heritage site, and the Central Market. In the Plaza de la Reina we will have the opportunity to enter the Metropolitan Cathedral of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. Then we will go to the Roman ruins of the Almoina and finally, we will unveil the secrets of the Basilica of the Virgin Mary of the Forsaken and the Tribunal of the Waters, the oldest in the world.
