River cruise through the Ebro Delta
Description
The Ebro River, with a length of 930 km, is the longest river in Spain. One of its most important characteristics is its long course. The river rises in Cantabria and flows into the Mediterranean Sea in the province of Tarragona, forming the so-called Ebro Delta. The Ebro Delta is one of the most important geographical features in Spain due to the great diversity of its ecosystem, of great natural wealth. At its junction with the Mediterranean, its unique landscape is characterised by a wide river surrounded by large natural spaces and an abundance of rice fields. The area includes several protected natural spaces with an incalculable landscape value such as El Garxal, San Antonio Island or Buda Island.
What we are going to do?
We will take a river cruise on board a boat that will travel the last kilometres of the Ebro at its mouth, where it merges with the Mediterranean. During the 1 hour and a half trip we will be able to enjoy beautiful landscapes and observe the birds that live in one of the most amazing places of the Delta: the Natural Park of the Ebro Delta and the Buda Island.
