Visit Parc Samà, a garden of cultural interest, an ideal companion for moods, freedom and encounters.

Description

Parc Samà is a garden with memory, located between the towns of Cambrils and Montbrió, in the Camp in Tarragona in the south of Catalonia, and was built in 1881, at the height of the Romantic era. Salvador Samà i Torrents, the park's promoter, was a prominent Spanish politician. The park was built as a summer residence for the family of Indianos Samà, from America, who brought their fortune back to their homeland, and for this reason, the park is a journey of return, of emigration and return to the origins. To make the Americas was to return to the lands of origin and leave their legacy. A legacy in the form of trees, birds, costumes and colours, in short, in the form of a different art and culture. Protected as an "Asset of Cultural Interest" in the category of "Historic Gardens", the architectural ensemble of Parc Samà consists of 14 open-air hectares and includes a mansion, a lake with hanging bridges and several gardens conceived in the midst of romanticism, designed with a way of seeing the world where feelings take precedence over reason.
