This full-day excursion from Santiago de Compostela will take you to this protected natural paradise within the Atlantic Islands of Galicia Maritime-Terrestrial National Park.

Our local guide, born in Vigo and passionate about the Galician coast, will accompany you throughout the journey. We pick you up in Santiago and take you to the port of Vigo, where you'll board the ferry to the islands. During the crossing, you'll learn about the unique history, flora and fauna of this protected ecosystem.

The Cies Islands

The Cies Islands are an archipelago formed by three islands: Monteagudo, Do Faro and San Martino. They were declared a Natural Park in 1980 and have been part of the National Park since 2002. The British newspaper The Guardian named them as home to "the best beach in the world".

Important information

Access to the Cies Islands is limited to 1,800 visitors per day to preserve the ecosystem. Authorization from the Xunta de Galicia is required, which we arrange for you. The visiting season runs from Easter to October.
