Description
This is an unforgettable excursion for anyone who likes hiking and wants to get to know the surroundings of Picos de Europa. We will have the opportunity to take the cable car up to Picos de Europa and make a downhill route to Espinama accompanied by a mountain guide. We will also visit the village of Potes, one of the most beautiful villages in Cantabria and as a finishing touch we will enjoy a thermal circuit in the Balneario de la Hermida.
What we are going to do?
We will leave for Fuente Dé with a 2-hour ride through villages, rivers and forests, as well as the famous La Hermida gorge, until we reach the cable car, which will take us to an altitude of 1,823m above sea level. From the top station of the cable car we will start the descent route to Espinama with the guide (approx. 13 km, not very technical ground and with a duration of 3.5-4 h). Once the hiking route is finished, we will return by van to Potes. There we will enjoy some free time to have lunch and get to know this village. After this stop, we will go to the Hotel Balneario de la Hermida to enjoy its thermal waters, considered one of the best in Europe. There we will have 1 hour and 30 minutes for a thermal circuit of 1.15 hours. Finally, we will return to Santander, where we will arrive at around 20:00 in the evening.
