Description
The charms of the French coast can be found just a short distance from San Sebastian. Crossing the border into another country can mean big differences in many cases, but crossing the Bidasoa River is different. We find ourselves in a different country with the same culture. Charming little fishing villages like Saint Jean de Luz, where time seems to have stopped centuries ago, or beautiful beach towns like Biarritz. Its fishing past is mixed with the grandeur of the royal residence during the 19th century, represented in the Hotel du Palais and the Casino. Today, people from all over the world spend the summer enjoying Basque gastronomy and surfing in the same town. We also come across Bayonne, capital of the region. A charming little town full of historic buildings and a picturesque town centre.
What we are going to do?
We will depart from San Sebastian in a private organised transport for a route along the Basque-French coast, passing through Saint Jean de Luz, Biarritz and Bayonne. We will stop in each of these magnificent towns for a guided tour with a local guide. In Biarritz we will take the opportunity to recharge our batteries and have a delicious lunch.
