Description

Surprisingly close to the city of San Sebastian are the fishing villages of Hondarribia, San Juan and San Pedro. Hondarribia is the best preserved walled town in Gipuzkoa, enclosed in a medieval layout of ancestral buildings, narrow streets and cobblestones. A combination of heritage and history. San Juan and San Pedro, districts of the town of Pasaia, located opposite each other, on opposite sides of the Bay of Pasaia, where the port meets the Bay of Biscay. San Pedro stands out for its seafaring history and is the birthplace of illustrious figures such as Blas de Lezo. And San Juan (Pasai Donibane in Basque) is the hidden port that captivated Victor Hugo, a place that captivates at first sight.

What we are going to do?

We will visit some of the most beautiful and charming coastal villages of the Basque coast on a guided tour. We will depart from San Sebastian in a private organised transport and we will first arrive in Hondarribia, a medieval village with centenary walls where the sobriety of its old town contrasts with the cheerfulness of the fishermen's quarter. Then we will cross Mount Jaizkibel from where we will enjoy a panoramic view of the area and we will see the Bidasoa River that separates two countries, Spain and France. Finally we will head towards the Bay of Pasajes (Pasaia), with San Juan on one side and San Pedro on the other. We will take a stroll around San Juan (Pasai Donibane) and head towards San Pedro on a pleasant boat trip that will allow us to cross the bay.
