San Sebastian bike tour
Description
San Sebastian (Donostia in Basque), boasts a circular bay with crystal clear waters and white sandy beaches that have historically attracted people in search of the perfect combination of sun and sophistication. As soon as you arrive, La Concha Beach invites you for a swim and a pleasant stroll along its shores, even in winter. The elegance of its bay, framed by Mount Igueldo and Santa Clara Island, is world-renowned. San Sebastian is a marvellous city in which getting around by bicycle to visit its highlights is an essential, comfortable and ecological experience.
What we are going to do?
We will take a guided bike tour through the old town of San Sebastian. In a small group and accompanied by a local guide, we will have the privilege of finding the most spectacular corners of the city that we would otherwise miss. Starting from the city centre, we will ride along the three beaches (Ondarreta, La Concha and Zurriola) and cross San Sebastian from one end to the other. We will reach the “Peine del Viento” (Wind Comb) at the western end of Ondarreta Beach, and then we will head towards the magnificent buildings that the Spanish Queen Maria Cristina had built during her reign at the end of the 19th century (during the so-called "Belle Epoque"). Finally, we will ride all the way to the eastern end of Zurriola Beach, where the “Paloma de la Paz” (Dove of Peace) sculpture is located.
