We invite you on a journey back in time to the era of Popes, outsiders, great artists, dangerous streets and fighting: this was Rome at the time of Caravaggio. Get ready to enter a completely different dimension, learning about the incredible artist Michelangelo Merisi, known as Caravaggio, through his art, his controversial lifestyle and his destiny. Discover the Rome of the 1600's and get involved in a unique and exciting show about the history and legends of that era while tasting some of the wines that were served at the time at the table of the rich, the clergy and the common people. Caravaggio and his life, the importance of food, his personal and intimate humour, will be explored in a very personal and engaging way. This is a wine tasting you will definitely never forget.

What we are going to do?

We will learn about wine in Rome and the city's relationship with the "Nectar of the Gods". We will taste some of the varieties known at the time, filling our mouths with good wine and our eyes with the incredible masterpieces of Caravaggio. We will be the audience of a unique and passionate performance about the history and legends of Rome and Caravaggio while tasting some of the wines that the riches, the clergy and the common people used to drink in 17th century Rome. Admiring faithful reproductions on canvas, we will be transported into Caravaggio's world to learn more about his life, the importance of food to him, his personal and intimate state of mind.
