General access visit to the Museo Pescanova, in Pontevedra
The Pescanova Biomarine Center Museum is the informative space of the Nueva Pescanova Group, in O Grove. It is an interactive space to raise awareness of the importance of caring for marine ecosystems for the future of the planet, to publicise the benefits of aquaculture and to review its history, which began in China in the year 3500 BC. The Pescanova Biomarine Center was created to fulfil the purpose of promoting the sustainability of species through aquaculture.
What we are going to do?
Our first stop will be the welcome area, where we will discover a little about the history of the Nueva Pescanova Group, its relevance and its origins in the sea. Next, we will find an ECOSPHERE and, in another room, we will be explained what aquaculture is. Finally, we will visit the research centre (sensorisation, aquatic drones, artificial intelligence, big data). We will also be able to listen to the sound of different species under the sea.
