La Rioja wine tour from Pamplona
Description
Spain is world famous for the quality of its wines, and the cradle of these wines is the land that gives its name to the Denomination of Origin of La Rioja. This region is one of the most special in the whole country because of its climate and terrain, suitable for wine growing since Roman times. Nowadays, vineyards and wineries can be found in every corner, creating a unique atmosphere that should not be missed.
What we are going to do?
We will depart from Pamplona in a private organised transport to head to the region of La Rioja, where we will visit two different wineries, small and medium sized, to learn about the contrasts between the different ways of wine production. In each of these wineries we will enjoy a tasting of their best wines. Before returning to Pamplona, we will visit the medieval town of Laguardia, where time seems to have stood still, to contemplate a panoramic view of the whole region and of course to regain our strength with a light lunch of "pintxos".
