Hiking route around the Saliencia Lakes

This hiking route will surprise you from the moment you start walking. These huts with their vegetal roofs, typical of Somiedo and Teverga, can already be seen in the valley of Saliencia, where the route starts at the head of the valley. From here, and ascending along a wide track, we reach the first viewpoints which, almost without noticing, give way to the green meadows where the native breed cows feed and where the horses run free under the limestone crags. The return journey takes us to Lake Calabazosa, the most secluded and shrouded in mystery of them all, whose views from the viewpoints will leave us bewildered by such beauty.
