Fun canoeing down a stretch of the Nalón River between the villages of Las Caldas and Trubia, an ideal experience for adventurers and water sports lovers.

Description

This is a canoe descent in an area with a lot of flow and variant, with around 6 rapids, wave zones and calm areas that will make the most adventurous an experience full of adrenaline. A unique river, the Nalon River, with an amazing history, the longest and most abundant river in Asturias, with a lot of movement, a spectacular landscape of riverside forest, hundreds of water birds and even a Florida turtle that usually greets us between the rocks! This adventure activity is designed for people who like water, wild nature, adrenaline and who come with the desire to have fun and enjoy themselves.

What we are going to do?

Canoeing down the Nalón River, in Asturias, with a total distance of 6 km that we will do accompanied by a guide. The river Nalón alternates areas of backwaters, where we can enjoy the riverside forest, the observation of wild birds and nature; with areas of currents and mini-rapids, i.e., you will face areas where the slope of the river changes, with irregular waves, windmills and obstacles in the currents that will make a fun descent. The instructor will help us during the whole route. Halfway along the route we will stop for a swim, a picnic or to take some photos.

The activity does not require previous experience but it is necessary to know how to swim. The minimum age to participate is 8 years old. Children up to 14 years old must always be accompanied by an adult in a double canoe.
