Description
Menorca is synonymous with enjoying the sea and all the activities that can be done to enjoy its crystal clear waters and its varied marine flora and fauna. The water temperature ranges between 22 and 28ºC during the summer months and its transparent waters allow visibility of up to 30 metres. Calm waters, small coves, caves, sunken ships and a variety of fish and other animals that inhabit this fantastic seabed are some of the attractions that make this island a paradise. The shallow depth of the island's coastline and the multitude of accessible reefs make snorkelling in Minorca an activity for everyone. Any cove or rocky corner of the island is a good place to dive and investigate in depth.
What we are going to do?
We will take a 3-hour tour departing from the picturesque bay of Cala Galdana to explore some of the most important beaches on the south coast of Menorca, with their crystal clear turquoise waters. We will get on a practical boat with capacity for 12 people and during the trip we will make 2 stops: the first one near the caves of Cala Macarella, where we will go snorkelling; and the second one in Cala Trebalúger. The instructor will give us information about what can be found underwater, with waterproof cards, and will tell us about all the fish that live in the Balearic Islands and the Mediterranean. A tour specially designed for any kind of public, also for families with children who are diving for the first time.
