Menorcan rural experience, a show of the farm work
Description
Travel back in time to Menorca's rural past with an amusing family of peasant farmers and find out first-hand what their life and daily work in the countryside was like more than 100 years ago. Baking bread in a wood-fired oven, making artisan Menorcan cheese, collecting and measuring the produce on the threshing floor, feeding the animals, drawing water from the waterwheel... The trip is completed with a visit to La Casa Señorial and La Casa Payesa, preserved just as they were in the last century and full of curiosities. The Ethnological Collection with hundreds of objects and utensils that were necessary for day-to-day work; and the Museum of Natural Sciences of Menorca, one of the most important private collections in Europe, where you can learn about the great biological diversity existing on the island and beyond, and the importance and necessity of its conservation.
