Kayak along the north coast of Menorca visiting beaches, caves and small natural tunnels, an adventure not to be missed!

Description

The route starts in the small summer resort of Es Grau, a residential area that includes the natural park of s'Albufera des Grau. With this excursion we will be able to see different landscapes of the north of the island, such as the Illa den Colom, the largest coastal islet of Menorca. We will also see the Favaritx lighthouse and a defence tower built during the second English domination. We will follow the coastline in order to find all the secrets hidden among the rocks of the island.

What we are going to do?

We will start with a brief introduction Es Grau on how to paddle and use the kayak correctly and explain the basic safety rules before heading out to the open sea. We head towards Es Pas. Along the coast we will pass by coves until we reach Cala Es Tamarells, a good place to dive and explore the seabed of the area. We will continue paddling towards Cala sa Torreta or Cala Gamba, where we can rest. On the way back, we will find a cove that invites us to swim, Arenal den Moro. Finally, we return to Es Grau, the starting point.

It is essential to know how to swim in order to do this activity safely. It is important to arrive 20 minutes in advance. The minimum age for this activity is 8 years old. If you want to take care of the planet and the waters of Menorca, it is best to use ecological and/or natural sun protection and not use plastic bottles that could end up at the bottom of the sea. The itinerary of the route may be altered depending on the weather and/or the monitor who will ensure the safety of the group.
