Double immersion in Cala Morell, Menorca
Description
Cala Morell is a small natural bay surrounded by rocky cliffs in the north of the island. The entrance to its crystal clear waters is from small platforms along the shore. This double dive is not only worthwhile because of the cavities, rock formations and objects that we will find. What undoubtedly makes it special is the great diversity of fish of different shapes and colours that coexist in this bay. Here we can see one of the most beautiful and eye-catching fish in the Mediterranean: the green fish or Thalassoma pavo. And if you are attentive, you can also see some octopus camouflaged among the rocks and brightly coloured starfish.
What we are going to do?
We will start the first dive on a shallow sandy bottom, ideal for practising your diving skills. From this sandy area we will begin a very gradual descent to a depth of 18 metres, encountering various caverns and holes, as well as ancient amphorae and an anchor more than 100 years old. After a surface interval in which we will take the opportunity to rehydrate, recharge our batteries with a small snack and change tanks, we will make the second dive in which we will explore a large rock formation known as "The Coliseum".
