Description
The main route of this advanced hiking route runs along a natural torrent with walls of an average height of 200 metres, considered one of the Natural Monuments of Mallorca. We will start with a fairly demanding level hike that will take us to the gorge. After approximately one hour, you will reach "s'Entreforc", a crossroads of three streams, the Blau, the Lluc and the Pareis itself. At this point we are about 5 km from the sea, in Sa Calobra, but we will still have between 3 and 5 hours to complete the route through one of the most fun and exciting sections. With the help of the guide, we will jump, slide down the rocks, crouch and crawl until we reach our final destination. The scenery along this route is simply breathtaking. It is overwhelming to feel embraced by billions of years of geological evolution. The hike, although challenging, is quite inspiring and will take us beyond our own limits. Sa Calobra awaits us at the end of our route.
What we are going to do?
This is basically a hiking route, although in practice, the experience is very similar to canyoning. The route takes place during the summer season and the torrent is dry, so it is a matter of walking, jumping and sliding over some level jumps. The guide will help us at all times and give us the correct safety instructions.
Itinerary
The route starts at a point near the Lluc Sanctuary, to first descend to the bed of the Lluc torrent (approximately 1 hour). If we are in good time, we will take a detour to visit the exit of Sa Fosca (the darkness), the famous torrent. We will then return to the bed of the Torrent de Pareis to continue our adventure. The route ends on the beach of Sa Calobra.
