Snorkelling in the Malgrats Islands, Mallorca
Description
In the municipality of Calvià we find some islets called Malgrats. Next to the bay of Santa Ponça rise these islets that mark the landscape and where we find marine animals and autochthonous birds that stand out and invite the tourist to enjoy this charming place. Declared a Marine Reserve in 2004, this group of rocky islands will surprise you with their spectacular scenery and marine life. Shoals of barracudas, scorpion fish, moray eels and groupers are some of the species regularly sighted. The marine area around the Malgrats Islands, as well as the waters off the neighbouring coast, have a high ecological and fishing value due to the diversity of habitats, benthic communities and fish that can be found.
What we are going to do?
An experience that starts with a half hour boat trip, departing from Santa Ponsa to reach the point from where we will start the snorkelling activity. There we will be able to enjoy the wonderful marine fauna and flora. Thanks to a mask, snorkel and fins, you will feel like a fish in the water.
