Full day tour to Menorca from Mallorca
Description
When we think of the island of Menorca, all those beaches and coves with turquoise blue waters that have won so many awards probably spring to mind. However, there are many more reasons to travel to this small Mediterranean paradise. Declared a Biosphere Reserve, the island preserves its nature and the state of its 216 kilometres of coastline, with a rugged coastline and reddish beaches in the north, and gentle relief, with coves of golden sand, in the south. Minorca is a unique island, which surprises us with the extraordinary wealth of its architectural, archaeological and cultural heritage, and with its fascinating history, marked by its strategic position in the centre of the western Mediterranean. Its crystal-clear waters, its sleepy villages, its gastronomic tradition and its people make this island a true paradise.
What we are going to do?
We will make a full day excursion to the neighbouring island of Menorca. We will depart by ferry from the Port of Alcudia at 9 am. After an hour and a half we will arrive in Ciutadella de Menorca, where we will get on a coach that will take us to the most important sites of the island. The first stop will be at Monte Toro, the highest central point of the island, where we will enjoy spectacular panoramic views and a visit to its sanctuary. We will continue to Fornells, a typical fishing village with its bay, famous for its characteristic lobster stew and water sports. We will arrive in Mahon, the capital of the island, where we will take a guided tour of the old town before enjoying 2 hours at leisure for lunch, strolling or shopping. After this time, we will head towards Binibeca, a picturesque fishing village, before returning to Ciutadella, where we will take a guided tour of the centre. We will enjoy some more free time before taking the ferry back to Mallorca (boarding at 8.30 pm).
