Excursion to Porto Cristo and visit to the Drach Caves

Mallorca, among its countless attractions, offers us a series of natural monuments that will leave us impressed, among them are the Caves of Drach. They are located in the area of Porto Cristo, a beautiful coastal town located 14 km from the famous town of Manacor, birthplace of tennis player Rafa Nadal. The main attraction of Porto Cristo is its natural harbour, which preserves the charm of its traditional origins, with old stone houses and a beautiful fleet of boats. But the caves are, without a doubt, an attraction for tourists and an essential visit for locals. The Cuevas del Drach are almost 1,200 metres long horizontally and at their deepest point they are 25 metres below the surface. Inside the caves there is a large underground lake, Lake Martel, considered one of the largest underground lakes in the world. Entering the caves is undoubtedly a great attraction for children, as they are immersed in an almost magical atmosphere, in a timeless space that has remained unchanged over the centuries.
