Caving in Alcudia
Description
Visit this fabulous cave in the north of Mallorca. Sa Cova Tancada, located on the Cape of Menorca, was adapted for tourism and later abandoned. Today it is a very easy cave to access as it does not require ropes. For maximum safety only a helmet and a torch are required for maximum visibility. The tour starts with a beautiful and easy hike to a coastal cave that is only a few metres above sea level. Inside you will find amazing speleothems and incredible views of the sea.
What we are going to do?
An experience to get started in the world of sport caving while discovering one of the many natural jewels of the island of Mallorca. We will meet in Alcudia and from there we will travel by car or on foot to the start of the access route to the cave. This part of the route will take us just over an hour. The descent to the entrance of the cave is somewhat steep, so we will overcome it without haste and always with the help of the guide. Once inside the cave we will admire the different formations that water and rock have taken millions of years to create. At the end of the visit we will make our way back to the starting point.
