Boat excursion to the Malgrats Islands, Mallorca
Description
The Malgrats Islands are two islets located in the municipality of Calvià, in front of the bay of Santa Ponça. In 2004 they were declared a Marine Reserve, thus recognising the high ecological and fishing value of the area as well as the diversity of habitats and animal communities. In them coexist several different species: jellyfish, birds, fish and algae, which make the coasts of Calvià a unique place thanks to the care of its fauna and flora. A unique place where visitors can enjoy nature in its wild state, with sporting activities such as diving, kayaking and sailing.
What we are going to do?
We will take a boat trip departing from Paguera to visit the famous Malgrats Islands. We will travel along the southwest coast of Mallorca making stops at Cala Monjo, Cala Fornells, Santa Ponsa and the Monument to King James I, among others, until we reach the Malgrats Islands, where we will take a break to swim, snorkel and enjoy the wonderful seabed. After this time, we will board the boat again to return to the departure point. During both the outward and return journeys, we can have a refreshment on board or enjoy one of the highlights of the boat, its underwater view, where we can observe the seabed, its fauna and flora.
