Guided Tour of Malaga and the Alcazaba
Description
A guided tour to learn about and interpret the history of Malaga's great monuments, including the Roman Theatre. We will enter the theatre and see how its plays were performed in its heyday. The tour continues to the Alcazaba of Malaga, the fortress that was once used as a residence and still retains great influence of the Nasrid kingdom.
What we are going to do?
Guided tour through the streets of Malaga. From our meeting point we will head to Calle Larios, passing through the Plaza de la Constitución and the Pasaje de Chinitas. We will continue through the Muslim streets to the cathedral, where we will learn all about the history of the Plaza del Obispo and the Patio de los Naranjos. After that, we will walk along Calle Granada, past the Picasso Museum, the Pimpi and the Church of Santiago until we reach the Plaza de la Merced. There we will have a closer look at Pablo Picasso, in front of his birth house and the monument to General Torrijos. We will enter the Roman Theatre and finish the visit with the entrance to the Alcazaba of Malaga, also known as the "Mini-Alhambra" of Malaga.
