Entrance to the Russian Museum Collection in Malaga
Description
The State Russian Museum of St. Petersburg, created in 1895 and with more than half a million works spanning the entire history of fine arts in Russia, has its first European headquarters in Malaga. The city's former Royal Tobacco Factory houses the Russian Museum Collection, St. Petersburg/Malaga. Here, more than two thousand square metres are used to house a series of long-term exhibitions, renewed every year, which cover the complex and fascinating history of Russian art and its changing relationship with European culture, as well as offering successive and outstanding temporary exhibitions that complete the exhibition discourse. The centre's most recent exhibitions have included works by such emblematic artists as Marc Chagall, Vasili Kandinsky, Ilya Repin and Kazimir Malevich.
What we are going to do?
With your ticket you can enter the Museum and visit the Collection. The offer does not end with the art collections. The centre has an auditorium, three screening rooms, children's workshops, a reading room with reference books and a virtual museum connected to more than a hundred places around the world. These facilities make it possible to offer a monthly programme of lectures, films, literary readings, music and folklore that make this art centre a window through which to peek into the soul, as well as a range of activities specifically designed for children and families.
