The Sierra de Guadarrama is the fourth largest National Park in Spain, with eleven ecosystems where there are more than 1280 species, of which thirteen are in danger of extinction. There are also more than 1,500 native plants and thirty types of vegetation. Its fauna includes deer, wild boar, Iberian wolves, roe deer, fallow deer, mountain goats, badgers, various mustelids, wild cats, foxes and hares. We also have a large number of species of aquatic birds in the reservoirs. Finally, its geographical environment includes glacial cirques and lagoons, as well as granite rock outcrops; its vegetation includes high mountain ecosystems and extensive sessile pine forests.
