Excursion to the Guadarrama National Park from Madrid
Description
The Sierra de Guadarrama is the fourth largest National Park in Spain, with eleven ecosystems where there are more than 1280 species, of which thirteen are in danger of extinction. There are also more than 1,500 native plants and thirty types of vegetation. Its fauna includes deer, wild boar, Iberian wolves, roe deer, fallow deer, mountain goats, badgers, various mustelids, wild cats, foxes and hares. We also have a large number of species of aquatic birds in the reservoirs. Finally, its geographical environment includes glacial cirques and lagoons, as well as granite rock outcrops; its vegetation includes high mountain ecosystems and extensive sessile pine forests.
What we are going to do?
Just 40 minutes from Madrid we will immerse ourselves in a natural environment of extraordinary beauty and calm, a tour of different parts of the National Park with an expert local guide. We will visit La Pedriza, Puerto de Navacerrada, Puerto de Cotos or the beautiful village of Rascafría. We will also take the opportunity to discover its landscapes, walk through its forests and mountains on a small trail and visit some of its villages.
