Description
Get ready to discover the Old Town of the Portuguese capital in a different way. On this tour, you will visit the bohemian district of Alfama on a self-balancing scooter called SitGo and enjoy a Tuk-Tuk ride accompanied by an expert guide. Discover the history of the Portuguese navy, learn all about the tragedy that occurred in 1755 and get to know a bit about the Portuguese tiles in Lisbon's oldest neighbourhood.
What we are going to do?
The experience will start in the historical city centre in the Cais of Sodré area, where we will meet the guide and start a guided tour on a modern and fun SitGo (self-balancing scooter with very easy handling). We will explore the Alfama area, the most bohemian quarter of the city, characterised by picturesque narrow streets and traditional restaurants. Accompanied by a guide, we will discover this preserved area that survived the earthquake of 1755. During the visit, we will have the opportunity to observe the Castle of St. George, as well as the views of the city from the main viewpoints such as Santa Luzia, Nossa Senhora do Monte and Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen. At the end of the tour, we will enjoy a relaxing Tuk-Tuk ride while we observe the city from a different perspective and enjoy the views of the river bank in a comfortable and original way.
Itinerary
The SitGo part of the tour focuses on the main historical district of Lisbon, Alfama. And the Tuk-Tuk part of the tour goes through the Graça area and all the viewpoints. Some of the points of interest of the tour are: Ribeira das Naus, Praça Comércio, Alfama, Sé de Lisboa, São Jorge Castle, Santa Luzia Viewpoint, Nossa Senhora do Monte Viewpoint, Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen Viewpoint and Graça.
