Boat trip and bird watching in Lisbon
Description
Get ready to discover the protected area of the Tagus Estuary and the characteristic fauna of this nature reserve. During this boat tour departing from Lisbon you will have the opportunity to admire the main features of the city from a different perspective, away from the crowds, before arriving at the Tagus Estuary Nature Reserve, which is characterised by a wide range of bird species. This experience will give you the chance to discover the fauna of this protected area, accompanied by an ornithologist, we will observe the birds and learn about the characteristics of each species. The best time for bird watching is from September to May, when some species arrive and others leave.
What we are going to do?
Birdwatching experience aboard a boat and accompanied by specialist ornithologists. The boat trip departs from the city of Lisbon and lasts approximately 2 hours. We will take advantage of all our senses to get to know the details of the Tagus Estuary Nature Reserve. We will have specific explanations about the Special Protection Areas along the wide wetland and we will be able to find species of resident, wintering, migratory, breeding or simply migratory birds passing through.
