Description
The sensation of stepping on the snow, listening to the silence of the mountain, enjoying the landscape or discovering the trail of a small wild animal is an activity not to be missed. If you also add the vibrations transmitted by the full moon, it becomes an unforgettable experience. Night-time snowshoeing is a type of adventure that allows you to get into nature under the moonlight and take advantage of the best moment to observe the fauna that inhabits the mountains. With this experience you can discover the Aigüestortes and Lake Sant Maurici National Park or the Alt Pirineu Natural Park. Depending on the weather and the state of the snow, we will choose the best route, but in both parks you will be able to fully immerse yourself in the Pyrenees and discover the fauna and flora that live there.
What we are going to do?
A night-time snowshoeing experience around the Aigüestortes and Lake Sant Maurici National Park or the Alt Pirineu Natural Park (route to be defined depending on the date, weather and snow conditions). An experience for the whole family, to do as a couple or with a group of friends, where you can enjoy the scenery while watching the moon rise in the middle of the night in a spectacular location. The tour lasts approximately 3 hours and you will be supported at all times by a specialised guide, interpreter and expert in the National Park. We will leave from the village of Son and during the route we will look for the ideal place to make a small introduction to the popular Catalan mythology in the sky with the help of an astronomical laser. We will also learn many interesting facts about the typical nocturnal flora and fauna of the Pyrenees.
