Description
The Canary Islands have a very rich and varied marine ecosystem. Each island has, in addition to its common species, its own particular fauna due to the marine currents and its particular geographical and environmental characteristics. The marine species of Lanzarote are especially peculiar compared to the rest of the islands of the Canary archipelago, due to its position closer to the African continent and the active protection of its habitat. The coasts of Lanzarote are home to Moorish crabs, rock crabs, blackfoot limpets and burgaos (another species of mollusc). In the sea and at different depths, the marine life shows its diversity. Mullet, loggerhead sea turtles, mackerel, cuttlefish, trumpet fish, seahorses, whelks, common dolphins, angel sharks, etc. There are also records of at least 29 species of cetaceans, including dolphins, beaked whales, pilot whales, sperm whales and fin whales that live or migrate through Lanzarote's waters.
What we are going to do?
The experience starts with the pick-up at the hotel and at different meeting points in Lanzarote in an air-conditioned bus. We will travel to the marina of Puerto del Carmen, where we will board the Biosfera Jet, a fun speedboat. Here the 2 and a half hour trip along the coast of Lanzarote will begin. Once in the open sea, the crew will start looking for dolphins, whales and any other marine fauna, using binoculars and doing as much as possible with their experienced eyes. When the sun sets we will celebrate the end of the day with champagne and cakes included in the price, then sail back to Puerto del Carmen where the bus will take us back to the hotel or departure point.

As these are wild animals, sightings cannot be 100% guaranteed. Hotel pick-up stops start at around 4.30pm. Once the booking has been made, we will contact you to confirm the meeting point and time.

Free cancellation up to 48 hours before the activity starts. If you cancel under this time or do not show up, you will not be refunded.
