Description
The Natural Park of the Volcanoes surrounds the Timanfaya National Park and is a unique setting on Lanzarote. The volcanic eruptions of 1730 that hit Lanzarote for 6 years changed the configuration of the island and left a unique volcanic landscape known worldwide. This fact, together with the degree of environmental protection that the area enjoys, make this route a chromatic gift that is difficult to forget. During the route we will be able to see the processes and forms created by the action of the volcanoes: lava fields, ashes, craters, tunnels, furnaces and an exceptional palette of colours ranging from the most intense red to black, passing through an infinite range of greys and ochres.
What we are going to do?
Guided hiking experience around the Natural Park of the Volcanoes of Lanzarote. The whole excursion lasts 6 hours, of which 3 hours are an easy level hike, suitable for children from 7 years old and with a distance of 6 km. The experience includes a pick-up service to take us to the starting point of our hiking route. As we walk through the landscapes shaped by the action of lava, we will learn how the craters, tunnels and cones that the different volcanic eruptions forged in past centuries originated in a natural way. At the end of the hiking route, we will take you back to the different meeting points.

Minimum age: 7 years old This experience includes pick up service from Costa Teguise, Arrecife, Puerto del Carmen and Playa Blanca. If you are staying in a different area you will have to go to the nearest meeting point. Once you have made your booking we will contact you to arrange the pick-up.
