Guided tour and organic wine tasting with artisan chocolate pairing in Lanzarote
Description
On this guided tour we will learn about the particularities and history of vine cultivation in Lanzarote, its varieties and characteristics. We will discover how the art of converting the fruit of the vine into wine is worked. We will also learn all about Malvasía Volcánica and Listán Negro, grape varieties exclusive to the island. Finally, we will also discover the before and after of the volcanic eruptions of Timanfaya, the historical and ethnographic values linked to the important culture of water on the island and the history hidden behind the walls of the manor house and farmhouse of Testeina, whose first documented references appear in the 16th century.
What we are going to do?
We will start with a walk through the vineyard, which is located at the foot of the Testeina Volcano, which also gives its name to the manor house. We will visit the cistern and the wine press (old wine press). To end the experience, we will have a commented tasting of organic wines, paired with chocolate bonbons, made by an artisan bakery on the island, with views of the Testeina volcano and the Natural Park of Los Volcanes. The Tuesday visit is in English and the Thursday visit is in Spanish.
