Caving experience for the whole family in the Aragonese Pyrenees
Description
An activity to do with the family, as a couple or with a group of friends, where you can observe the calcium carbonate rock formations. For thousands of years water and its contributions have formed these wonders of nature. Stalactites, stalagmites, columns and banners are some of the formations that we can observe. For many years and up to the present day, caves and chasms have been the refuge and habitat of many cultures, being one of the places where anthropologists, archaeologists and palaeontologists carry out their work. In this experience we will visit a spectacular cave hidden behind the waterfalls of a ravine, next to the National Park of Ordesa and Monte Perdido. It has incredible views and a wild and spectacular environment. In the cave there is a small stream and small lakes of crystalline water. We will be surrounded by geological formations, giant rooms, narrow corridors and a curious colony of bats and rhinolophids that we will see and that we should not disturb. The different animals of the underground spaces have adapted to this humid and strange world, losing their vision and their pigments and developing a whole series of senses and survival strategies in accordance with the environment in which they live.
