Los Cahorros de Monachil is a very popular route among hikers, who have found a natural paradise here. Hiking is often practised in most of the villages of the Sierra Nevada National Park, and this is one of the most popular routes, due to its great beauty and easy route, and it is also ideal for families. It is a route that crosses beautiful suspension bridges and strategic points with incredible views, waterfalls, natural pools made in the rock, caves and narrow tunnels. A route that will take you through some of the most spectacular scenery in Andalusia. The route starts in the small village of Monachil in the Sierra Nevada, just 8km from the centre of Granada. Despite its proximity to the city, it remains relatively unknown to many tourists.
What we are going to do?
We will meet at a central point in Granada and we will travel together in a van to the starting point of the route. The route is 7 kilometres long and we will walk for approximately 3 hours. Although it is a completely easy route and perfect for all ages, it will be necessary to have a bit of dexterity and flexibility because there are sections where we will walk crouching down.
