Description
With this guided tour, you will not only learn about the culture and history of flamenco and the Zambra in Granada, but you will be able to live and feel it in first person. Why this is a different kind of guided tour through the Albaicín and Sacromonte? Apart from getting to know the two most characteristic neighbourhoods of Granada, you will vibrate to the rhythm of the flamenco “cajón” (box-drum). You will learn some of its secrets thanks to Manuel, a local master percussionist. We will visit a very special flamenco school, where you will be able to see its rooms and learn about its history. The school is located in an old cave that has been converted for flamenco teaching. We will continue our tour on foot through the cobbled streets with amazing views of the Alhambra. Through the "vereas" of Sacromonte we will meet José, a flamenco guitarist who will tell you some of the secrets of the guitar. We will end this magical tour in the cave of Curro, one of the greatest flamenco connoisseurs in Granada. This multifaceted and unique artist will tell you first hand the history of the “zambra granaína”.
What we are going to do?
You will learn about flamenco in Granada from its artists along with a visit to the Albaicín and Sacromonte. You will have the luxury of experiencing some flamenco guitar and “cajón” demonstrations while discovering the history of the “zambra” and the gypsies. All accompanied by guides who are very knowledgeable about the place, with multimedia content to improve understanding and in a small group to make your experience closer and safer.

It is important to be at the meeting point 10 minutes before the tour starts. This experience is not accessible for people with reduced mobility. The use of a baby carrier is recommended, as the tour runs along sections of stairs that are not suitable for pushchairs.
