Description
One of the main features that sets this establishment apart is the unique format of the flamenco show, which takes place in a simple, well-ventilated and lovingly decorated space. With ambient lighting and without any type of technical support or amplification, since due to its size and capacity, it does not require them. It has perfect visibility, with the seats against the wall in front of where the show is to be performed, in the middle of what was once the living room of a traditional Sacromonte family's house. The Cueva de María La Canastera is considered to be the most emblematic of Sacromonte, as it is the only one of its kind that continues to offer the typical songs and dances of the Gipsy Wedding known as the Zambra.
What we are going to do?
Access to one of the most important traditional flamenco shows in the city of Granada. The show, the "Zambra Gitana del Sacromonte", is a show offered by 4 or 5 artists (singers, dancers and guitarists) whose content is based on the typical songs and dances of Sacromonte (La Alboreá, La Cachuchá, La Mosca, El Fandango del Albayzín and Los Tangos del Sacromonte), which symbolise certain moments of the gypsy weddings. The cast of artists, mostly descendants of María La Canastera, have been trained in the best flamenco tablaos in Spain and in the flamenco companies of established figures.
