Jeep tour in Gran Canaria
Description
Gran Canaria is for many the most complete, varied and cosmopolitan island of the archipelago, not in vain is it known as "The Miniature Continent". Here you can find samples of almost all the Canarian landscapes: cities, beaches, desert dunes with an oasis and its palm grove, cliffs or cliffs overlooking the sea, a peninsula, ravines, volcanic cones, calderas, lava badlands, rocks, laurisilva forests or pine forests. Gran Canaria is more than just sun and beaches. In its interior you will find forests, valleys, ravines, reservoirs and much more.
What we are going to do?
We propose a different kind of excursion in which you can get to know the inland routes of Gran Canaria. First, through small secondary roads and then on tracks that are difficult to access and can only be reached by off-road vehicles. For this, we will travel in a jeep with all comforts and accompanied by highly experienced professional drivers/guides. We start the excursion on a coastal road to Arguineguín and from there we drive up a secondary road between ravines and valleys. We will pass Cercado del Espino, where we will see some tropical plantations and Soria, a small village that gives its name to the largest water reservoir in the Canary Islands, where we will have time for a walk and breakfast (not included in the price). We will arrive at the Presa de las Niñas dam, where, weather and dam conditions permitting, we will be able to take a swim. Afterwards, always on hidden roads, we will reach San Bartolome de Tirajana, where we will have lunch (not included in the price). We will stop at the Camel Park of Arteara, situated in a wonderful palm grove, where optionally (and not included in the price) we will be able to take a fun camel ride. The stop takes about 30 minutes and the camel ride takes about 20 minutes. Finally we will return to our starting point through the spectacular Fataga ravine and Playa del Inglés.
