Description
In the north of the province of Girona, amidst the great mountain formations of the Pyrenees, lies the Ribes Valley, a unique landscape set by the exuberance of the surrounding nature. Singular for its pure air, for its people and for the beautiful mountain villages that make up the valley: Campelles, Pardines, Planoles, Queralbs, Núria, Toses and Ribes de Freser. From this last village, Ribes de Freser, we will start our snowshoeing route. Surrounded by a natural environment that encourages rest and disconnection, marked by a history full of landscape and cultural changes.
What we are going to do?
We will meet at the premises located in the village of Ribes de Freser, where we will meet the guide and pick up the necessary material for the route. We will meet 1 hour before the start of the route to have time to prepare properly and to move to the starting point of the route (approximately 15 minutes by car). The circular excursion, starting and finishing in the same point, takes place at night, under the full moon that will illuminate the way. The silence of the mountains, the crunch of the snowshoes as you walk and the moonlight projected on the snow make this experience something magical and special. Snowshoeing is a good option for practising sport in the snow and discovering the high mountain winter landscape.
