In the north of the province of Girona, between the great mountainous formations of the Pyrenees, lies the county of Ripollès, a unique landscape set by the exuberance of the surrounding nature. Singular for its pure air, for its people, for its spectacular Ribes Valley and for its beautiful mountain villages such as Campelles, Pardines, Planoles, Queralbs, Núria, Toses and Ribes de Freser. From this last village, Ribes de Freser, we will start our snowshoeing route. Surrounded by a natural environment that encourages rest and disconnection, marked by a history full of landscape and cultural changes.
What we are going to do?
We will meet at the premises located in the village of Ribes de Freser, where we will meet the guide and pick up the necessary material for the route. From there we will take a short 15-minute drive to the starting point of the route. Depending on the weather and, above all, the state of the snow, we will look for the best location and the best route to make the most of the experience. The excursion, circular, with departure and arrival in the same point, is an experience suitable for all ages, perfect to spend a day with family, friends or as a couple, discovering the fabulous landscape of the Ribes Valley, surrounded by important peaks such as Taga or Puigmal. Snowshoeing is a good option for practising sport in the snow and discovering the high mountain winter landscape.
