When winter arrives, the snow covers the mountains with its white mantle, giving them a special charm that invites you to discover its corners with peaceful walks on snowshoes. White forests, snowy hills that look like cotton wool, frozen rivers, blue skies and spectacular landscapes. All this and more is what you will discover with this guided snowshoeing route in the ski resort of La Molina, in the heart of La Cerdanya, in the heart of the Catalan Pyrenees. Snowshoes allow us to move over the terrain safely, effortlessly and with much more traction both uphill and downhill. Unlike ski mountaineering, there is no need for technique and it is not too complicated, which makes them an ideal option for a walk in the mountains with family or friends.
What we are going to do?
We will meet at the ski resort of La Molina, an ideal location for any snowshoeing route. Before starting the tour, the specialised guides will teach us how to move around with the snowshoes, how to progress uphill and downhill and will explain the basic safety rules in the snow. The experience lasts approximately 1 hour and during the tour the guide will show us the landscape, explain important information about the environment, help us to discover tracks and traces of animals in the snow, as well as finding the woodpecker's nests.
