Description
Located between the city of Barcelona and the French border, Tossa de Mar is an old fishing village with a long history, now a well-known tourist destination on the Costa Brava. One of the main reasons for this is its spectacular 13th-century fortified medieval centre, the Vila Vella (old town), which has been declared a National Historic and Artistic Monument. Behind the impressive walls and defensive towers of the town you will find a labyrinth of narrow streets and alleys surrounded by beautiful white houses that give the town a truly Mediterranean atmosphere. The town is practically isolated from the neighbouring villages due to its steep location. Thus, its landscape is determined by countless corners of great natural beauty that we will discover by walking the famous "Camí de Ronda" path, from where we will get unique views: the beautiful Mediterranean Sea, impressive cliffs overhanging the sea and small coves of crystal clear water.
What we are going to do?
We will meet at a central point in Barcelona to start our experience. After approximately one and a half hour van ride we will arrive in Tossa de Mar, in the heart of the Costa Brava. We will get ready and start walking along the famous coastal path called "Camino de Ronda". This path connects all the towns of the Costa Brava from north to south. The Camino de Ronda will take us through areas of great natural beauty that you would never have imagined to find here. Fragrances of pine trees, rosemary and thyme will follow us along the way. If the weather is good, we will bathe in the crystal clear waters of some of the beautiful coves we will find along the way, sunbathe and enjoy the peace and quiet. The route will bring us back to Tossa de Mar, an old fishing village with an interesting history, where we will have free time for lunch before taking a guided tour.
