A unique opportunity to visit and discover the most beautiful and historically important villages of Girona and the Costa Brava in a single day.

Description

On arriving at Calella de Palafrugell it seems as if time has stood still. On the beach of Port Bo you can still see the small daily fishing boats, as if the fishermen were still waiting for the storm to calm down before setting sail. The low whitewashed houses of this pretty seaside village have been renovated but retain all the charm of times gone by. A 15-minute walk along the popularly known "Camino de Ronda" will take you to the village of Llafranc via a small cove of golden sand and a promenade lined with terraces and restaurants. At the top of one of the hills surrounding the beach stands the Sant Sebastià lighthouse, which offers one of the best views of the Costa Brava. From Llafranc we will go to Begur, a fishing village with narrow streets and small squares, perched on a hill and with a castle on the highest part that dominates the whole coast. We will continue our route to the village of Pals, where we will stop for lunch and taste one of the delicious rice dishes grown in the area. After lunch we will visit the gothic enclosure known as El Pedró, the Church of Sant Pere and the Tower of the Hours. To end our day we will visit Peratallada, without doubt a marvel of medieval civil architecture. A small village that preserves its feudal heritage intact, narrow and winding streets, stone buildings, a wall, a moat and a spectacular castle-palace.
