Description
A dynamic and fun route that allows the traveller, as well as following the whole process that takes the orange or mandarin from the origin of the tree to their homes, to enter into the long journey it makes to sweeten our palates. Accompanied at all times by specialised guides who will introduce you to the history and life of one of the most consumed fruits in the world, showing you step by step the whole process until they reach our homes. We will enter "El Más dels Doblons", a traditional farmhouse with more than 30,000 m2 divided between orange groves, ancient olive trees, vineyards, gardens and rooms dedicated to those elements that constitute and identify the life of the Masoveros Castellonenses between the seventeenth and nineteenth centuries. This visit includes gastronomic and ethnological contents, nature and tradition.
What we are going to do?
Orange route in which we will visit the most important botanical collection of the province of Castellón, with explanations about the planting, grafting, maintenance and cultivation of oranges. Then we will go to the orange warehouse where they will explain the collection, reception of the product and preparation of the orange for its subsequent marketing. The route includes orange-related tastings: picking and eating oranges and mandarins directly from the tree and other tastings.
