Description
Morella appears in the eyes of the visitor enveloped in the charm of its strategic position, which fills the landscape, and the centuries-old walls crowned by the robust castle at a height of over a thousand metres. Its sixteen towers, six gates and almost two kilometres of wall form a unique silhouette, crowned by the imposing castle. Declared a Historic-Artistic Site, with an excellent municipal rehabilitation work that has been recognised by the World Heritage Cities with the Heritage Award and which has the UNESCO declaration in the cave shelter of Morella la Vella, this town will also seduce you with its tradition, monuments, gastronomy, folklore and its surroundings.
What we are going to do?
Excursion to Morella, one of the most beautiful villages in Spain, with its monumental castle on the top of the mountain and its houses surrounded by walls. We will visit porticoed streets, stately mansions, beautiful little shops, the impressive gates of the walls and centuries-old houses. At the entrance of Morella, from one of its most emblematic gates, the gate of San Miguel, with the help of a guide, we will start the walk through the interior of Morella discovering its rich artistic and monumental heritage. Afterwards, we will visit a "Miel Guimerá" shop to taste and buy typical products of the area. Afterwards we will visit the Basilica of Morella and in the afternoon we will have free time to do some shopping.
