Description
Visit to the Ebro Delta Natural Park, which with 320 km2, is one of the most popular excursions for visitors. This internationally important park is home to hundreds of species of fauna, the majority of which are birds, with 316 species registered out of the 600 existing in Europe, and hundreds of vertebrate species. It is located in the province of Tarragona, near the towns of Deltebre and San Jaume d'Enveja. The salt flats of the Delta were, together with fishing, the economic base of the territory until the arrival of rice in the second half of the 19th century. The Ebro Delta is the largest wetland area in Catalonia and one of the most important in Western Europe. We will finish the visit with a catamaran trip along the mouth of the Ebro river, observing the island of Buda and the rice.
