Just outside Berlin lies the picturesque town of Potsdam, with palaces, gardens and churches straight out of a fairy tale. For almost three centuries it was the residence of Prussian kings, princes and German emperors of the Hohenzollern dynasty. Discover a breathtaking landscape, one of the most beautiful in Europe and witness to events that changed the world forever.
What we are going to do?
We will take a full day excursion to the city of Potsdam, departing from Berlin. Accompanied at all times by an expert guide, we will have the opportunity to see a dream palace, Babelsberg Palace, and the Marble Palace on the lake shore. We will stroll through an idyllic Russian village and explore a unique 18th century Dutch quarter. In the Neuer Garten park is the Cecilienhof Palace field. It became world famous when Stalin, Churchill and Truman met here after World War II to decide on the future of Germany and Europe. We will cross the Bridge of Spies, where the Americans and Soviets exchanged spies captured during the Cold War, and we will see the former Stasi prison, run by the East German secret police. At the end of the tour, the guide will show us the beautiful Sanssouci Park surrounding Frederick the Great's Sanssouci Palace. As an alternative to the experience, you can visit this impressive palace on your own (entrance fees not included in the price) or return to Berlin with the guide and the group.
