Description
The lively seaside resort of Benidorm is a tourist destination on the shores of the Mediterranean, just 45 minutes from Alicante on the Costa Blanca. Benidorm is famous for its expansive golden sands, however, there is much more to visit in this town of skyscrapers and beaches. What was once a small town with olive and citrus groves is now a stunning city with high-rise hotels and a non-stop nightlife. However, its picturesque past is kept alive in the historic centre, where an 18th-century blue-domed church and narrow streets are preserved, and the adjoining Canfali Mountains offer beautiful panoramic views. Although Benidorm's spectacular skyline is one of the most recognisable in all of Spain, it is also important to say that it is undoubtedly a city of culture and history, and many of these landmarks can be seen by simply strolling around.
What we are going to do?
We will take a tour of Benidorm on an original bus, designed to surprise us with a different panoramic view of the city. A tram-shaped vehicle equipped with a multilingual audio system that offers explanations about the different points of interest. The trip lasts approximately one hour and we will pass by the most emblematic places in Benidorm, from the Rincón de Loix to the Poniente Beach, passing through the city centre. One of the best views is from the Hotel Bali with its impressive 43 floors. The tram makes three stops where you can hop on and off as many times as you like during the day, so you can stop at the places that interest you most and then continue your route.
